Purpose: Hot/Cold Therapy
Uses: Hot therapy: Soothing pain relief to sore or stiff muscles and joints, relaxes muscles and increases blood flow to treatment site. Cold therapy: Reduces the extent of swelling bruising and provides pain relief caused from acute injury, strains and sprains. Long-lasting comfort. Natural relief. Latex free.
Directions: Use only as directed. For warm heat therapy: Carefully fill bottle 2/4 full with warm tap water; temperature should not exceed 107 degrees F (42 degrees C). Never use boiling water. For cold therapy: Fill bottle 2/4 full with cold water and crushed ice. 1. After filling, slowly squeeze the air from the water bottle so the water level just reaches the top of the bottle. 2. Replace the stopper; be sure it is secure but do not over tighten. 3. Test for leaks by gently squeezing and turning the bottle. 4. Wrap the bottle in a cloth or towel and apply to treatment site. 5. Recommended therapeutic time: 20 minutes. Cleaning and storage: Rinse bottle thoroughly with warm water and allow to dry completely before storage. It is recommended bottle be hung upside down to allow the inside to dry completely. Store in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight. Take care not to place heavy or sharp objects on the water bottle as it may puncture or tear the material.
Warnings: Seek medical advice for a reaction to skin, persistent numbness, pain or severe discomfort during or after treatment. Examine bottle before use for wear, cracks and holes; discontinue use if bottle is torn or leaking. Do not use in microwave, oven or stovetop; do not freeze. Do not use with boiling water. Excessive heat or cold can compromise the bottle integrity, resulting in holes or leaks, which may cause user injury, including hot or cold burns. Not recommended for patients with poor circulation or impaired sensation conditions, temperature hypersensitivity, skin disorders or infections. Individuals with these conditions should consult with their physician prior to use. Do not use on areas with sensitive skin, open wounds or previous burns. Supervise use on children, elderly or incapacitated persons.
