Purpose: First Aid
Uses: Intended for use as a first aid solution to reduce swelling and bruising and provide pain relief caused by acute injury, strains and sprains. Effective treatment for pain and swelling. Flexible fabric bag. Safe to apply directly to skin.
Directions: Use as directed. Failure to follow instructions, warnings and cautions could result in ice burns to the skin. 1. Fill bag two-thirds full with cold water, crushed ice or ice cubes. 2. Securely thread cap onto bag. 3. Apply directly to treatment site. Monitor skin during use. Approximate therapeutic time is 10-20 minutes. During or after treatment, seek medical advice for a reaction to skin, persistent numbness, pain or severe discomfort. Cleaning and storage: Allow inside of bag to dry completely after each use. Spot clean outside or rinse inside of bag with mild detergent as needed; do not launder. Store in a dry place at room temperature.
Warnings: Not recommended for patients with poor circulation or impaired sensation conditions, temperature hypersensitivity or allergies to cold. Individuals with these conditions should consult with their physician prior to use. Do not use on areas with sensitive skin, open wounds or previous ice burn. Stop treatment and immediately seek medical attention if symptoms of frostbite start to occur. CAUTION: Always supervise use on children, elderly or incapacitated persons. Do not crush ice inside of bag by force. Discard if punctured, torn or leaking. Only for use with cold tap water and ice cubes. Do not use hot water or other liquids in the bag. Inside bag liner contains latex. Seek medical attention for a reaction from exposure to liner. Use carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over sensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of ice bags by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.
